Our Story

It started with a beagle, an open door, and forty minutes of fear.

One summer evening, a member of our team watched a rescue beagle — a dog with a genuine talent for escape — slip through a door left open for ten seconds. What followed were forty minutes that felt like forty hours: flashlights, neighbors, shaken treat bags, and that particular hollow fear every pet parent knows by heart.

The beagle strolled home on his own, tail high, blissfully unaware of the panic he'd caused. But we never shook off the question that night left us with:

If our phones always know where they are, why can't we know where our dogs, our wallets, our keys — the pieces of our lives — actually are?

The answer frustrated us.

We looked around. Serious pet trackers came with serious hardware — and monthly subscriptions that turned peace of mind into a recurring bill. Cheap finders felt like party favors: bulky, ugly, and dead by the second trip to the dog park. And nearly all of them ignored the one thing almost everyone already carries: a phone quietly connected to Apple's Find My or Google's Find Hub network — crowdsourced by hundreds of millions of devices around the world.

The technology to end that forty-minute panic already existed. It just hadn't been shaped for real life yet.

So we decided to shape it ourselves.

02

We started small. We stayed stubborn.

Joylink began with a small team, a whiteboard covered in collar sketches, and one unfashionable rule: peace of mind should never come with a monthly invoice.

That rule shaped everything. The Tracking Card, slim enough to live where your bank card does. The Round Tracker, made to ride along on keys, bags, and luggage. The Smart Pet Tracker, light enough for a cat and tough enough for a beagle with boundary issues. Batteries you replace or recharge instead of a device you throw away. A ring loud enough to be heard from under the couch, the car seat, or the neighbor's hydrangeas. And never — not once, not ever — a subscription fee.

We tested prototypes on the most talented escape artists we could find. We read every review, every email, every "found him!!" photo. (Those never get old. Keep sending them.)

Where we are today

Thousands of pets, wallets, and keychains across Europe and North America now carry a Joylink — and our favorite part of the job is still the stories: the beagle found three streets over, the wallet that called out from under the car seat, the cat discovered asleep in a shed she'd apparently claimed as a second home.

04

Why "Joylink"?

Because a tracker was never really about the tracker. It's about the link between you and your joy: the dog who greets you like you've been gone for years, the wallet that holds your whole life together, the keys to all of it.

Our job is to keep that link unbroken — quietly, reliably, and without a monthly invoice.

05

What we believe

Peace of mind isn't a subscription.

One fair price, once. No fees, no tiers, no fine print.

Family means everyone.

Including the four-legged members who shed on the couch.

Good design disappears.

The best tracker is the one you forget exists — until the moment you need it.

Privacy is the foundation.

Find My and Find Hub are encrypted and anonymous by design. Your location data is never for sale — it never even reaches us.

The next chapter

We're just getting started: new shapes, new colors, new ways to protect the link between you and what you love — all built on the same stubborn rule we started with.

Lose less. Live more. It's not just our tagline.
It's the reason we exist.
