What 3 years actually costs

Subscription trackers look cheaper up front. Over time they are not — here is the real math.

Three-year total cost comparison: Joylink Ultra versus subscription-based pet trackers
Tracker	Upfront	Subscription	3-Year Total
Joylink Ultrabuilt-in SIM, no contract	$89.99	$3 / year	$95.99
Subscription trackerhardware ~$79	$79.00	$5 / month	$259.00
Subscription trackerhardware ~$50	$50.00	$7 / month	$302.00
Premium subscription trackerhardware ~$149	$149.00	$99 / year	$446.00

All Joylink Ultra units include the first year of connectivity free. After that, $3 per year covers the built-in SIM — no contract, cancel anytime, and the device keeps reporting for a full year. Comparison figures reflect typical published subscription pricing for subscription-based pet trackers (verified September 2026) and illustrative hardware tiers; actual prices vary by brand and plan.

1-year limited warranty Covers defects in materials and workmanship. If it fails in normal use, we replace it.

Hardware design

One pebble-sized tracker, everywhere they go.

At 52 × 45 × 21 mm the C5L stays flat against a collar and out of the way. A soft silicone loop threads onto almost any strap, so the same tracker moves between collars, harnesses and walking gear with no extra clips.

Magnetic contact charging

Snap on. Charge up. No open ports.

Magnetic contact charging lines up on the first try and clicks into place. Because the housing has no exposed charging port, there is nothing for dust, mud or water to get into — just set the tracker down and let it top up.

Power and status

A 420 mAh battery built for the long walk.

A 420 mAh polymer cell keeps the C5L reporting through multi-day routines. The status light on the front face tells you at a glance whether the tracker is powered, paired and charging — so you always know before you head out.
